It has finally been completed. The Dev Team kept telling us that they were not sure the new baseband will ever be unlocked, while Geohot kept saying he will always be able to hack & unlock an iPhone. And we were slightly torn between the two, well Geohot has be proven true! He has successfully unlocked the iPhone 3Gs & 3G running 3.1.2 firmware, and here is how to do it!
If you have not jailbroken your iPhone yet, then download the file below pertaining to your OS (operating system).
Jailbreak 3.1.2
Need instructions about Jailbreaking click here –> Jailbreak 3.1.2
Once your device is jailbroken you will need to follow these instructions:
1. Add the repo: http://blackra1n.com
2. Then select the “blackra1n” repo you just added.
3. Select “blacksn0w” and install.
4. That’s it you’re done! You officially unlocked you iPhone
*You may need to reset you “Network Settings.” To do so go to Settings –> General –> Reset –> Reset Network Settings, and that should do the trick.
WordPress.com, just released a new app for the iPhone. It is called WordPress 2, it is not an update but rather a completely new app. It is now available in the app store, here is the link for it: WordPress 2 Some people claim to have been getting errors logging in or the app keeps crashing, I on the other hand have not had that problem. It’s probably best to be on 3.1.2 firmware to avoid capability issues, as I am currently running. But enjoy…

Tweetie Update 1.3.2
New update has been release for tweetie fixes slot ofthe bugs that started to occur when updating to the new iPhone OS 3.0. People were complaining that they were unable to view other users profiles or profile pics when searched through trends or searches (not those you are following). Another huge error for me was the nearby search. It only loaded one post at a time (which was annoying) and you could not view the user’s profile, so you couldn’t even add a person if you wanted too! But it all has been fixed thanks to the new update!
Those of you that purchased the app, go to the app store and click on updates.
And for the hackers, search the app in installous an see if they have the new update available. The version to look for is “1.3.2.”

Well just to let all you iChurch people out there know. Appulo.us, our beloved free app sharing site seems to have lost most of its links. Most likely due to it huge popularity and Apple cracking down on them. But even before all the missing links to the apps, more of Appulo.us apps links did not work. Of course they say they were cleaning up all the dead links that is why, but I don’t know. I have a bad feeling that it might get shut down all together. They are pretty popular, and its only a matter of time before they get to big for Apple or Hacklab and unfortunately get removed off the web. But good thing we don’t have any part of this shenanigans!
